Aidan O'Looney

Chairperson

I have a degree in Business Studies from Trinity College. I worked for Bear Stearns as an Option Trader in New York from 1999 - 2007 and have been working as a Senior Equity Trader for Goodbody since 2007 -present. When I moved back from America, I moved into Raheny and when my first son was old enough, I put him in the Academy in Raheny United in 2011. I took my first team in 2013 which I still manage today (U17 Major North). I have completed PDP1, 2 & 3. I have recently gone back to the Academy which now has over 200 kids. My three boys have all played for Raheny United since the Academy and now my daughter has joined one of the newly set up girls teams. I joined the committee this year as Chairman and I hope to create an environment that allows players to flourish and achieve their full potential.

Gerry Killeen Jnr.

Junior Football Director

Having previously served on the committee as the Junior Football Director and Junior Fixture Secretary, I rejoined the committee this season as the Junior Football Director.

I've been involved with Raheny United F.C. since its formation back in 1994 and was part of the first ever juvenile team in the club. I have represented Raheny United at every age group, captaining many teams along the way. In more recent times I have stepped in started to coach the future stars of Raheny United F.C. in our ever growing and successful academy, where we cater for just under 200 kids, from 4 to 6 years old.

Raheny United is in my blood, my dad is a trustee and one of many founding members of Raheny United. My brother, sister and uncles have all played for the club over the years and now my nephews and my own son are playing in the junior section, which is going from strength to strength.

My ambition in my current role is to continue to provide football to all kids at the appropriate level, to help get all managers/coaches on relevant FAI coaching badges and most importantly, provide a safe environment for kids to grow, develop and enjoy their football.

Alan Duffy

Facilities Director

I started playing football with Raheny Utd. at a young age and played with the club until having to retire shortly after going senior.

I began coaching in the junior boys section while playing and started managing in the junior girls section shortly after I stopped playing.

In 2009 I left Raheny Utd. to coach the senior mens side for St. Annes United, where I also sat on the committee for several years (as Club Secretary, Football Director and Chairman).

I returned to Raheny Utd. in 2013 and began coaching / managing in our senior mens section, while also sitting on some sub-committees.

In 2018 I stepped back from coaching and joined the full comittee, serving under various roles.
