Season kick-off notice to parents

As we kick off another season at Raheny United we wanted to reach out to parents with a few important notices.

First, and most importantly...

Thank you! Your support and generosity year after year is what keeps the show on the road. Without it, we would simply cease to exist!

Parents and supporter conduct at games

As always, we are committed to upholding Raheny's exemplary reputation for conduct at games. As parents and supporters, it's important to remember that you share the very same responsibility as coaches and players in representing our club.

Your positive encouragement plays a crucial role in shaping a child's enjoyment, sense of achievement, skill development, and self-esteem. It directly impacts how much fun children have and their enthusiasm for participating.

With this in mind, we remind all parents to adhere to the following code of conduct, which aligns with both the DDSL and FAI guidelines:

  1. Parent and supporter positioning: Parents and supporters should remain on the opposite side of the pitch from the coaches whenever possible. This allows the coaches to manage the game without interference.

  2. Coaching and Instructions: Parents should refrain from coaching or instructing their child during the game. This is the responsibility of the management team, and undermining their role can show disrespect to both the coaches and the children.

  3. Behavior: There is no place for aggression, shouting, or disrespect in children’s sports. Children should not witness inappropriate behavior, whether from their parents or others, at their game.

  4. Respect for match officials: Parents are expected to respect the decisions of match officials at all times.

  5. Equal support for all players: Parents should give attention and support to all participating children, not just the most talented. Spectators should appreciate the efforts of both teams, including the opposition.

  6. Diversity and inclusion: All players should be respected on the field, regardless of nationality, race, religion, or other affiliations. Spectators should convey the positive values of the game to the wider community.

  7. Substitutions: Show appreciation for the efforts of all players from both teams, including those who are substituted.

Let’s work together to create a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all children involved.

Registration

Registrations for the new season are now open. It's important to complete two steps to ensure your child is ready to play:

Club Registration: Please register with Raheny United here. Fees can be paid in three installments, with family discounts available. If you need financial assistance, contact treasurer@rahenyunited.ie.

DDSL Registration: Ensure your child is registered with the league here (€30, valid until season end). This is crucial for insurance purposes and only takes 2 minutes.

Thank you for your cooperation and support. Looking forward to a great season ahead!
